Drop of Dharma
Many people resist the idea of "surrendering" the ego because even though they believe that they will feel wonderful on the inside by doing so, their outer life will fall to pieces if they don't maintain control over their environment with all of their ego based emotional reactions and behaviors. ~ Jim Giorgi

Welcome

My name is Jim Giorgi.

  • I am an ordained Zen Buddhist priest
  • A Dharma Teacher
  • An NGA Aikido black belt instructor at several  US dojos
  • An Integral Therapist: a psychologist and psychotherapist,
  • An EEG Neurotherapist
  • An EFT Practitioner
  • An author of two books:  one on NGA Aikido and one on living the life of Integral Spirituality (Between Yesterday and Tomorrow, available now on CreateSpace and Amazon Kindle)
I have, for the last 35 years, dedicated my life to service, to relieve suffering and to education, meaning "to draw forth from within."

After a lifetime practice of Zen Buddhist meditation, martial arts training, my work as a therapist and an educator,  I have a unique perspective on "the Perennial Philosophy" which reveals the source of the widespread sense of spiritual disconnection and malaise of today.  More importantly, I have developed practical techniques of mindfulness meditation that creates for each of us a personal spiritual pathway to "transform ordinary life into an extraordinary adventure".

Everything I offer is applicable in day-to-day living.  Everything I teach can be demonstrated.  I give you the tools to work out in the laboratory of your own life that you might experience personal transformation, to fulfil your life's highest good, for your health, your creativity, your relationships, your peace of mind, your enlightenment.

My guiding principles are integrity, a commitment to excellence, a dedication to compassionate service, and a spirit of enthusiasm and innovation.

About my name:

BrightPathway is derived from the spiritual name conferred upon me by my Zen Buddhist teacher at my ordination in 1990.  The Korean name Do Kwang is pronounced "Doe Kwong" and translated means "Bright Path."
